A giveaway tomorrow....

Hi guys

Attention attention calling all giveaway lovers!  I will be hosting a giveaway tomorrow so keep an eye out!

Sniffle, sneeze, cough, yep I thought I was going to avoid getting a bad cold this Christmas but it caught me unawares at the weekend!

I took part in another craft fair, but it wasn't that successful to be honest.

I don't know, you know what with the cost of fabric over here or getting it over you have to try and price fairly to everyone, so it's hard to find a happy medium!  There were people selling "cheaper" priced items but they had a different type of fabric.  I guess I will just stick to my guns!

I have started making pram quilts to broaden my price range.  Here is an example of one, some of you will have seen one of my little customers leaving with one in her buggy (via Facebook).  I do enjoy making these.  I am inspired as usual by crazymomquilts.  Just to use up scraps of fabric.  I have bags of it so will definately be making more! I have boy one to finish off and a plainer white one, my fav!

Here is a picture of the quilt unrolled.

Ok so dinner is burning cooking, better go!

Have a good evening all!

  1. Such a pretty quilt Fiona, the colours are beautiful. Sorry to hear your craft fair didn't go as well as you'd hoped. I find that it's mostly people who craft, who are willing to pay for handmade. We know how much time has gone into making something! Hope you feel better soon :)

  3. Sweet quilt. Craft fairs can be funny affairs as people tend to want something for very little. I think that as people have stopped making things they have lost sight of how much time and effort goes into making a hand made item. Di x

  5. Your quilts are beautiful....stick to your guns....i'm a quilt maker as well....i love making them and will continue to but they are a labour of love!! Never going to 'profit' from them but do price them accordingly....just have to remind customers that they are a purchase that will become a family heirloom and that they are very special!!! :)

In case you think I am being awfully rude by not acknowledging your comments it is because I find that a lot of you are NO REPLY bloggers.

You need to change your settings and input your email address so that I can reply. There are blogs that walk you through the process but fear not it is not hard to do!
